We are excited to announce the launch of the 2023/2024 Discover Schenectady Destination Guide. We will be, once again, working closely with award-winning publisher, Content Studio & Martinelli Custom Publishing, and their team of experts to develop a guide that will showcase your business like no other in the region.

Our Destination Guide is a magazine-style, alluring booklet, showcasing photo-driven content, spotlighting businesses, and featuring the websites and social media pages of each advertiser. Its modern look profiles your brand creatively, builds awareness and captures the imagination of visitors, tourists and the local community. We saw record numbers of visitors come to Schenectady County in 2022, ahead of our pre-pandemic numbers. Our guide played an instrumental role in gaining more visitors and was equally as important as visitors used our guide to find local attractions, restaurants, shops and points of interest once here, as evidenced by the thousands of guides distributed at Van Gogh – The Immersive Experience at Armory Studios NY. .

We are fortunate to have a destination that includes stunning landscapes, walking, hiking & biking trails, the majestic Mohawk River & Erie Canal, walkable neighborhoods and historical sites that lure many throughout the four seasons. Of course, we have seen visitors return in large numbers to our indoor attractions too, including River’s Casino Resort, Proctors Theater, Armory Stusios NY, miSci and ViaPort Aquarium. And businesses throughout Schenectady County continue to rebound and thrive. Our publication captures all of this and makes your business part of the attraction!

Distribution of the Destination Guide will be again be robust, with 25,000 printed copies (an increase from 20,000 last issue) going to the Albany International Airport, Amtrak stations in Schenectady and Rensselaer, NYS Thruway rest stops, visitor centers in Massachusetts, Connecticut and New York, as well as at local retailers, restaurants, hotels, SUNY SCCC, Union College and businesses like General Electric & Ellis Hospital(whos use the guide for employee recruitment). The Guide also serves as the main fulfillment piece to those requesting the guide through advertising responses. It will also be used by our sales team on client calls and at trade shows and expos.
